John O’Groats to Lands End in memory of Finlay

Posted on April 29, 2011 by Simon

Finlay Connor was tragically killed in March when he and his mother Niki were hit by a bus on their way to school.

Niki was also left seriously injured and fighting for her life. This was a fight she may not have won if she had not been airlifted to hospital by Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance is a life saving service largely funded by charitable contributions.

Jon Gray who’s daughter Isobel was friends with Finlay will be cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End in June to try and raise some money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

Jon is not a cyclist and has not been on a bike in 20 years so the John O’Groats to Lands End is a huge challenge for him.  Cycling over 1,000 miles on his own, the wrong way (into the wind) is going to take huge endurance.

In memory of Finlay and for the fantastic work that Wiltshire Air Ambulance  do, you can sponsor Jon on his Just Giving page:
